At ISP we believe that the school canteen is just another educational space where, besides providing a complete, healthy and balanced menu, children socialize, learn good habits and use English as a communication language.
International School Peñíscola offers an optional canteen service for those students willing to use it. Differentiated menus are served, adapted to each educational stage, taking into account medical issues (allergies, intolerances), religious beliefs and/or other nutritional needs such as diets adapted for elite athletes.
The school has its own kitchen that complies with all established hygiene and health conditions in order to prepare a balanced and quality daily menu where legumes, vegetables, meat, eggs and fish are alternated, so that our pupils’ diet is varied and healthy. Fruit is offered every day as dessert and as a mid-morning snack and mid-afternoon snack in the Early Years stage, promoting the healthy habit of eating fruit daily from an early age.
The menus are prepared taking into account Health Department criteria regarding school menus, being endorsed by the Health Inspection and validated by Public Health.
Nearly 100% of pupils use this healthy school dining service.
