The entire educational community of International School Peniscola is involved in responding to diversity and educational inclusion, with the aim of ensuring equal opportunities for all pupils.
International School Peniscola has an Educational Psychology and Guidance Department (GAOP) configured by specialists in educational psychology, teachers and educational support staff whose objective is the prevention, detection and intervention in possible learning difficulties of pupils, optimising their teaching-learning process and contributing to their comprehensive development in academic, personal, emotional, social aspects and beyond.
Educational psychology interventions carried out by the GAOP:
- Prevention and detection of learning difficulties through educational psychology assessments.
- Educational psychology advice to teaching staff.
- Guidance to families in their educational role.
- Development of personalised action plans.
- Specific support for pupils with educational needs.
- Educational attention to diversity in the classroom.
- Guidance to pupils.
In addition, the school maintains collaborative agreements with external specialists through which neurodevelopmental disorders necessities are addressed.
