Psycho-pedagogical/Guidance Department
The Psycho-pedagogical Department of ISP monitors the academic and social progress of all the students, no matter in which stage they are. In the International Secondary School Peniscola, the Psycho-pedagogical and Guidance Department work rigorously with the teachers of this stage in order to detect and help students with additional educational needs. This work is done by helping them in class or working in individual sessions. With students that find it difficult to acquire learning skills, it is essential to attend this individual sessions, so that they can keep up with the group, adapting some contents to their needs.
We always inform families about the support received by their children and regular meetings are held in order to talk about the specific objectives of the students, the support given and the progress made.
In addition, in this Secondary stage, the Guidance Department plans and develops activities of academic and professional guidance. They advise the students that ask for it on the election of the future subjects in bachillerato, the branches of knowledge in bachillerato or even on the future university degrees, this way each student has a personalised study done. The Guidance Department works closely to the teaching team and the families, organising meetings in the center to talk about the future of their children or in order to clarify any concern that the families may have.
